  • Happy Birthday, Kent

Wishing you a wonderful day and a great year ahead!
  • Free Noggin, Sparkler, and Apple Tree for programs and families.

    Hi everyone!

In case you missed the Kitchen Table this week - here are the details to access free Noggin, Sparkler, and Appletree for your programs.

You can launch as soon as this week or at the start of 2021! Please complete this survey to get started.

Get Started with Noggin for FREE

National Head Start Association families and educators can sign up for FREE using the following link: https://www.noggin.com/noggin-cares-nhsa

Families and educators can set up their accounts on a web browser (like Chrome or Safari) with their name and email address - no credit card required.

They'll get an email to confirm their account and then can download the mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Then you can plan and learn in Noggin for free until the end of August 2021.

Preschoolers can open the Ready Grow hub in the Noggin app to find curriculum-aligned ebooks, games, and interactive videos.

    Get Started with Sparkler

Sparkler is a mobile app where parents and educators can find off-screen learning games and adventures to take play-based learning outside the classroom and off the screen. As part of Ready Grow, there's tons of content aligned with Noggin and AppleTree's curriculum - which includes the Nick characters and extends the preschool learning! It's also a two-way communication tool, and it allows parents to track what they accomplish together with their children in "grow," which is like a scrapbook.

    How Parents/Caregivers can get started:

    1. Download Sparkler from your app store: iOS or Android

    2. Create an account. NHSA families use the code 1965.

    3. Pick Family/Familia in the drop-down menu.

    4. Create a profile for yourself and your child. Please enter your child's age correctly because Sparkler assigns content based on children's ages!

    5. Enter your school's "provider key" so that families can link with their schools. (To receive a code complete this survey to get started).

Educators can feel free to create Sparkler app accounts so that they can see what families see! They should pick staff rather than family/familia in the drop-down menu.

Get Started With AppleTree and Every Child Ready

AppleTree is the curriculum backbone of Ready Grow. Each month, AppleTree's curriculum, Every Child Ready, has a new theme like Family & Community or Outer Space. If you selected free basic access to free Every Child Ready, please go to everychildready.org to begin exploring the free lessons, books, and videos.

If your school is interested in full access to the Every Child Ready curriculum for three and four-year-olds, please email abby.carlson@appletreeinstitute.org.
